Be it by choice or circumstance, membership in “America’s Singles Club” has officially surpassed the size of membership in the marriage club. Romance is exalted in every corner of the globe, but to create a sense of equality, promotion of National Singles Week (observed during the third full week of September) began in Ohio in the 1980s to celebrate societal contributions made by singles.
There’s upwards of 110M singles (that is, 45% of all U.S. residents 18+) to be celebrated this year. In honor of National Singles Week, Professional Matchmakers Marisha Dixon, Alyssa Bunn, Melissa Rogers, Cora Boyd and Remy Boyd have teamed up to provide the ultimate 7-day guide to preparing for “the one,” as well as a series of digital conversations to tune into throughout National Singles Week. These love detectives will share expert tips to help singles take advantage of single-hood.
